Welcome to the Connecticut Behavioral Outreach, Inc. Blog

We are so glad you decided to stop by!

We hope you will find lots of good information that will interest and help you with many different aspects of your life. Please feel free to look around, download articles, and post to your heart’s content! We want you all to be an integral part of this blog, and to help make it the place that the mentally ill in Connecticut can come to and learn, share, report, etc.

When you create an account, please feel free to use a name other than your own, as this will keep you anonymous to the public. Make up any name you want, but please, no improper language!

We have created a page for mental health consumers (such as yourself) to report on and rate the residential facilities and hospitals in Connecticut. Why do this? Because it will let others know the quality of a group home, nursing home, or hospital, before they decide whether or not to go there. This will be a tremendous help to everyone in the mental health field: Caseworkers, Social Workers, Psychiatrists, Therapists, Advocates, etc. This will also keep these facilities “honest,” so that it will improve the quality of care for the mentally ill in Connecticut. Remember that exposing the truth about anything or anyone will always keep the system “honest.” Also, you will be anonymous, so you can feel free to post what you actually know and experience.
